IAC Services have recently designed, supplied and installed a Daikin VRV simultaneous heating and cooling system into 14 new modular offices. The system comprises of a ducted air handling unit being installed within the ceiling void of each office and a range of supply and return ductwork between the air handling unit and the ceiling.
Each room has its own local wall mounted controller to enable the occupant to adjust their temperature as preferred. The system also incorporates a remote sighted intelligent controller that monitors the set points in each office space and enables maximum or minimum limits to be applied. In addition to the air conditioning, each room benefits from a make up fresh air addition from a central roof mounted air handling unit.
Due to the potential general environmental conditions surrounding the fresh air inlet system at roof level, it has been designed with a 3- stage filtration system including HEPA filters so as to ensure the make up fresh air into the office suite is as per the description ‘fresh’ at all times.
